Last week we enjoyed ‘International Week’ and had a great time in Year Six learning how to count to ten in French. We also had the opportunity to visit other classes and see what countries they had focused on. This week we have been working independently in Maths and in Literacy we have read Katie in London. We have also made our own passports for our trip around the world and so far we have visited France, England and Wales. We have spent time outside playing with the water beads, chalking, building towers and landmarks using cubes and wooden blocks. We have also painted daffodil pictures, used our big balancing scales and made flags. We enjoyed our first music lesson last week and really enjoyed playing the musical instruments and singing. Next week we will continue our ‘Around the World’ topic and will visit Northern Ireland, Scotland and Australia. If you have any items that you’d like to share with the class about these countries that would be fantastic.
