We hope you all had a lovely bank holiday and enjoyed the extra day with your family. We’ve had another busy week in Reception! The children have enjoyed planting their cress seeds and watering them. They have also enjoyed planting seeds outdoors and looking after them to see how they are growing. We’ve also learnt about the life cycle of a butterfly and made caterpillars, butterfly pictures, mini beasts and mini beast hats. In literacy this week we’ve been reading ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and in maths we have been learning how to write and represent teen numbers. We have also been outdoors for PE with Mr Harris working on team building, throwing and catching skills. Next week in literacy we are continuing with ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ story and in maths we will be doubling and halving small amounts. Here are a few photos of what we’ve been doing in Reception.
