This week we were able to do lots of fun outdoors activities (despite the gloomy weather).
In English we have continued looking at stories with repeated phrases and have focussed on ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’. We created story maps and came up with our own ideas to add to the story. We have also focused a lot on our handwriting and sentence structure and did a range of fun activities outside to help us practice this.
In Maths we have been exploring the concept of more and less and used role play to help us understand these concepts in real life. The children were brilliant at using number lines to help them find one more and one less.
In Science we learnt about living, no longer living and non-living things. We took a walk down to the nature reserve and discussed the different things we saw including lots of bugs!
The children have also really been enjoying their weekly music lessons with Mrs Fort where they have been learning about different rhythms.
