It has been both fun and exciting settling into Year 1. We came to class each morning with big smiles and greeted our teacher with such lovely manners.
We thoroughly enjoyed some of group work activities, particularly the parachute games! We played ‘hidden treasure’, ‘giant mushroom’ and ‘circle the circus’ with our parachute.
We learned all about our HART rules and we reminded ourselves how to earn a Learning Gem.
We delved straight into our topic ‘Marvellous Me’. We were very intrigued by the human body, the internal organs and the parts of the skeleton raised a lot of interesting questions! We also started to zone in on the United Kingdom on the world map and we located England and its capital on the map.
