"Valuing Potential, Creating Opportunities"

Week of 16th March 2020

Dear Year 1,

As discussed in class this week, you will be learning from home for the foreseeable future. We had a very meaningful conversation about what is currently happening and I was pleased to see how willing you were to show extra patience and understanding to all of the adults keeping you safe. We discussed how they are going to be a lot of changes and how willing and accepting we are of these circumstances. I am looking forward to hear how well you are adjusting to the new home learning routines that will be put into place.

Assigned home-learning

Every Monday, I will be uploading the following to the class blog.

5 pieces of English work & 1 set of spellings ( 1 piece per day)

5 pieces of Maths work (1 piece per day)

1 piece of History/  Geography

1 piece of PSHE

1 piece of Computing

1 piece of Science

Choose 1 or more of the optional activities that will cover different aspects of the curriculum such as P.E, Music and Art/DT.

You can complete the work in the copybooks I have sent home with you,  complete it on any piece of paper which you collate in a folder / activity book or print off the work.

Have a nice weekend everybody and I’ll be posting next weeks home learning tasks over the course of the weekend.

See below a sample template of a weekly schedule you can prepare for your child in order to set a routine.
