It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, but we’re still beavering away in Year 6! This week in literacy we drafted, peer marked and published our information texts about Fantastic Beasts, and in maths we learned how to calculate the mean, median, mode and range of a set of data, including graphs. In science we learned what fossils are and how they help us to understand the world, in music we recorded our rendition of ‘Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer’ on the ukulele (check it out on Google Classroom!) and in DT we started to build our shelters – here’s a great example of our progress:
Next week is Festive Week, which we’re really looking forward to! We’ll be making some Christmas crafts on Monday, boogeying in our Virtual Disco on Tuesday, devouring Christmas Dinner on Wednesday, enjoying a Christmas movie on Thursday afternoon and finally unwrapping our presents from the Friends of Hartsbourne on Friday! Amongst all these festivities we’re going to be completing some assessments and finishing off all of our units of work from the term, so get a good night’s sleep on Sunday ready for a busy final week!
Have a relaxing weekend and I’ll see you all next week 🙂
