"Valuing Potential, Creating Opportunities"

Friday 19th March 2021

Hello!

About time we got some nice weather! It’s been a beautiful end to the week, and slowly but surely we are all getting back into the swing of things here in Year 6. This week in literacy we have been using various elements of grammar to write jokes, with some hilarious (and one or two hilariously bad) results! In maths we have been learning about ratio and how to scale up and down to solve problems, applying our multiplication and division skills to good effect. In PSHE we wrote about how forthcoming changes to our lives might affect our health and wellbeing, in DT we planned our bread making for next week (make sure you’ve checked out the Google Classroom post!) and in science we took our classification skills from last week and used them brilliantly to classify invertebrates, as you can see here:

Next week is our last week of term (which seems ridiculous!) but we still have lots of exciting things planned, including ‘Wear the Rules’ day on Friday, when I’m really looking forward to seeing a variety of weird and wacky outfits! Until then stay safe and have a lovely weekend, and I’ll see you all next week 🙂
