Mysterious Story Starters Week 2
We’ve had another lovely week! In literacy we’ve worked on lots of grammar techniques which we could add to our mysterious story starters, including active and passive sentences, tell and show sentences and speech punctuation. In maths we used place value to help us multiply and divide, solved some number sequences and completed square number calculations. In computing we created topic slides using MS Powerpoint, in French we practised greeting each other and asking how we are, and in art we practised sketching still-life images as an introduction to our work on containers, as you can see here:
Next week we will be pulling all our planning together in order to draft, peer mark and publish our final mysterious story starter in literacy, and learning about factors, multiples and prime numbers in maths. We’ll continue our music lessons with Miss Fort and our dance lessons with Candice, and don’t forget that school council elections will be on Monday and house captain elections Thursday.
