Hartsbourne Primary School

"Valuing Potential, Creating Opportunities"

Friday 27th November

Hello!

It’s been another fantastic week of learning in Year 6! In maths we started a new unit of work all about measurement and statistics, and got busy with our protractors measuring and drawing angles! In science we learned about the theory of natural selection, in geography we wrote about how camels are adapted to life in the desert and in literacy we created some Fantastic Beasts for our information texts – check out this great example!

Next week we’ll be learning about modal verbs and hyphens in literacy, as well as line graphs and pie charts in maths. In computing we’ll be adding some more slides to our WWII multimedia presentations, in PE we’ll be continuing to improve our rugby skills with Mr Harris and in DT we’ll continue to investigate shelters with a view to creating our own. Remember that next Friday is our Occasional Day so let’s make sure that we work really hard and earn that long weekend!

Have a lovely weekend and I’ll see you all next week 🙂
