It may only have been a four-day week but we still got lots of fantastic work in! In literacy we started a new unit about recounts and have started to plan our own evacuee diaries from the point of view of either Carrie or Nick from our guided reading text ‘Carrie’s War’. In DT we investigated various different shelters, we had a spirited debate about poppies this afternoon as part of Remembrance Week and in maths we have been working on equivalences between fractions, decimals and percentages, as you can see here:
Next week we will be learning all about those pesky apostrophes in literacy, and finding fractions and percentages of quantities in maths. We’ll learn about the four noble truths in RE, find out about the features of different biomes in geography, and I’m looking forward to seeing all of you (virtually of course) during parents’ evening!
Have a lovely weekend and I will see you all next week 🙂
