Hello!
It’s been another very busy week in the world of Year 6! In maths we got stuck into some really challenging work on multiplication and division and I was so impressed by how doggedly the children stuck to their task! In science we completed an investigation to see which of Mr Harper’s five substances were soluble, in French we learned how to tell someone our birthday and in literacy we created our own aliens and extra-terrestrial containers for our ‘War of the Worlds’ stories next week, as you can see here:
Next week we will be drafting, peer marking and publishing our science fiction stories in literacy, as well as looking at negative numbers and the order of operations in maths. In computing we are going to look at a new website called SAM Learning which we are lucky enough to be able to use this year, in science we are going to complete a follow-up investigation about filtration, and don’t forget that we are making our containers in art on Thursday so please get your aprons in by Tuesday.
Have a great weekend and I will see you all next week! 🙂
