Free School Meals

Did you know that just registering your child for Free School Meals entitles the school to extra Government funding – even if you choose not to have the free lunches?

If you think you may be eligible for free school meals, please visit www.hertsdirect.org/freeschoolmeals, where you can apply online. Online applications are easier, faster and more convenient. If you do not have access to the internet at home, you can obtain access and support at any of the following locations:

  • Public Libraries
  • UK Online Centres

If you require assistance with your application, please email [email protected] or call the customer service centre on 0300 123 4048 (8am – 8pm Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm Saturday).

School Meals

School meals are provided by Impact Food Group and are freshly cooked on site, every day. They believe in creating healthy meals which inspire pupils and helps them concentrate at schools to get the very best from their education. 

School meals are free for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. 

The cost for Key Stage Two pupils (Year 3 – Year 6) is £2.43 per day

Orders and payments are all made directly with Impact Food Group. Orders can be placed in advance, but the cut off for the next school week is always midnight on Saturday.

Packed Lunches

We are a nut free school! If you are providing your child with a packed lunch, then please make sure it doesn’t have anything that may contain nuts or peanuts. This includes cereal bars, biscuits etc. that state may contain nuts on the wrapper.

If you wish to send your child in with a packed lunch please make sure the lunch is nutritious and filling. 

Please do

Provide your child with a protein filled sandwich/pasta or rice pot.

Make sure your child has at least one piece of fruit or vegetable with their lunch.

Try to avoid sugary drinks like Capri Sun – water or milk or a small carton of pure juice is better.

School Milk

cool_milkThe Government School Milk scheme provides free milk for children under the age of 5. If you would like your child to continue receiving milk after they turn 5, then you can arrange this via the Cool Milk website.
