If we experience severe weather, such as heavy snowfall, parents should check the Herts County Council Emergency School Closures website by using these links –
www.hertsdirect.org/services/edlearn/schlife/schoolclose or www.imodus.com/summary.aspx?company=99.
Should we make the decision to close the school, we will also send out a text message as early as possible using the GROUPCALL system.
If you have not received a GROUPCALL text by 7.45am, this may be due to a technical problem so you may wish to phone around your friends to see if they have received one. In either case, the Herts County Council Emergency School Closures website (link above) should be your first point of contact.
Please also tune in to Chiltern Radio 97.6 FM & 828 AM or BBC Three Counties Radio 103.8/95.5 FM & 630/1161 MW for news of school closures.
Messages are cleared from the system at midday and we will update the website each late afternoon or early morning during the bout of severe weather.
If you change your contact details, especially mobile phone or home phone, please inform the School Office as soon as possible so that we can update our records. Thank you.
